Blitware FAQ: How do I uninstall File Helper?

Removing File Helper from your computer is a fast process that can be done through its own Uninstallation link, or through the Windows Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features control panel.

Before you try to uninstall File Helper, make sure it is not running on your computer. Look in your System Tray for the File Helper icon. If you see it, right-click on it and choose "Exit".

Now, open the Start menu and choose "All Programs". Navigate to the "File Helper" folder and expand it.

This folder contains a shortcut called "Uninstall File Helper". Click this shortcut to begin the File Helper unisntallation routine. You will be asked if you are certain you wish to proceed. Press "Yes" and the uninstallation will begin.

If you prefer to uninstall File Helper through the Windows Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features menu, open the Start menu and choose "Control Panel". From here, fine the icon labeled "Add/Remove Programs" (in Windows XP) or "Programs and Features" (in Windows Vista and Windows 7).

In this screen, scroll through the list of programs installed on your computer to find the entry for File Helper. Select it by left-clicking on its row once, and press "Uninstall". File Helper will now be uninstalled.
